Tele-Intervention & Evaluation

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Montgomery County Early Intervention is now conducting developmental evaluations through Tele-Intervention.

In the spirit of social distancing, we will be temporarily providing early intervention services virtually. The health of our children, families, and early intervention professionals is of the utmost importance to us.

Through our new virtual platform, ECAS is able to maintain individualized and family-centered assessments. During the evaluations, parents are given strategies and resources to utilize in their daily routines. If a child qualifies for services, the services will be delivered virtually through one of the many early intervention providers in Montgomery County.

The COVID-19 pandemic should not prevent infants and toddlers from obtaining needed developmental support. Early Intervention evaluations and therapies will continue to be completed by highly qualified Infant/Toddler Therapists in the privacy of the family’s home at no cost to the family.

If you have an infant or toddler who you feel could benefit from Early Intervention Services, please consider scheduling a free Tele-Evaluation.

The use of a baby doll during tele-intervention allows therapists to coach families on ways to support their babies during tummy time.
